1.   Removable Denture Implants

These dentures give you the option of attaching the tooth replacement to four implants. Although the choice for replacement is a good choice, it also has its downsides. If you get minimum four implants and if one fails, the entire fixture will not work anymore.

Implant-Retained Overdenture

This type of removable denture entails two or more denture implants with a detachable appliance. This is considered an upgrade from the average denture. Although these dentures provide more support, they also increase the odds of sustaining sore spots.

2.   Fixed Denture Implants

If you go with fixed denture implants, there are two options to choose from: implant-supported bridges and implant-supported dentures.

Implant-Supported Bridges

This type of denture are the most natural and life-like replacement teeth you are likely to find. This is the reason why most patients and even dentists prefer this option. The best thing about these dentures is that in case if one implant fails, there will be no effect on the other replacements

Implant-Supported Denture

These dentures are also referred as “All-on-4” or AO4’s as four or more than four implants are required to support the denture. These dentures are just like implant-supported overdenture, except for the fact that you can’t remove it. If it has to be replaced or adjusted, you have to go to the dentist.
